One of the major advantages of ExaGear Desktop is its performance. Current version of ExaGear Desktop provides up to 80% of native ARM application performance in average.
ARM devices used for benchmarking:
- Odroid-XU (Exynos5 Octa Cortex-A15 1.6Ghz quad core)
- Raspberry Pi 2 (900 MHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A7)
For benchmarking we used SysBench. The benchmark was built for the ARM and Intel x86. Results of ARM-based (or native) tests were compared against x86 tests ran under ExaGear Desktop.
Also we compared performance of ExaGear Desktop to the performance of QEMU. We took QEMU user mode emulator and compared its performance with the performance of Eltechs ExaGear Desktop. For benchmarking we used GeoBenchmark. The benchmark was built for the ARM and Intel x86 with options ‘-O3 -mfpu=neon’ and ‘-O3 -msse3 -mfpmath=sse’ respectively. Results of ARM-based (or native) tests were compared against x86 tests ran under Eltechs ExaGear Desktop and under QEMU.
